my home's previous owner built additional livable space by converting the attic and adding some off roof construction. Problem is, it's very hot upstairs in the summer. there's little to no crawling space between the roof and ceiling and no built trap doors. There's one gable vent on each side of the roof, no soffit vents, no insulation on the attic...
