I have a chosen cabinet and a stove top that I would like to install together I want to make sure that the vegtables and the wine that I store underneath the stovetop will not be affected by the heat. Since I am buying the stove and cabinet from a store will that alone insure the instulation is correct for this kind of food storage?
Go to a fire place retailer and you can get an aluminium wrapped insulation that will resist heat.
Hello Jean,
On most of those counter stove tops they dont get that hot underneath with the standard insulation that comes with it. For the most part heat almost always rises but is will be slightly warmer in that cabinet than in the others. However the real danger here is that all wine should be stored at an angle to where the wine will always touch the cork, and should also be kept at a temperature of 50-65 degrees to maintain its best quality.
