Is exposed fiberglass insulation dangerous?

Hello,
I am part of a martial arts group and we recently moved our practice to a new location. The new location is a medium sized warehouse, a building about 20 years old. The entire ceiling of the building is insulated with pink fiberglass, but is left exposed and hanging. Is this hazardous? Is this a violation of the city building code?

It isn't dangerous but is unhealthy. It can cause eye and throat irritation and if it gets into your clothes, itching.
