Drawbacks to using both tyvek housewrap and ridgid foam vapor barriers together?

I'm re-siding my cape cod style home in Central NY built in 1953. I've removed the wooden clapboards that are original to the house and revealed a feltboard wrapped in tarpaper. I've wrapped the house in tyvek and I planned to cover the wrap with ridgid foam then side the house with vinyl.

The intention of the ridgid foam is primarily for insulation, but I've had a few of my contractor buddies tell me doubling up on the vapor barrier is a bad move. I don't want to pay extra for something that may not be benficial.

Any suggestions?
