Carpet Tiles Are Green

For everyone that detests carpet there is someone who loves it - however not unconditionally. Carpet, despite being a trap for dirt and other unpleasant things, is warm and cozy. In most cases this is because it keeps heat in the room.

The big boon in the green carpet movement is carpet tiles and here's why. Designs can be customized using tiles and damaged ones can be removed without taking up the carpet in the whole room.

Many carpet tiles do give off VOC's (volatile organic compounds) but the manufacturing processes are improving on this. Many natural products like wool and natural grasses are being produced.

Another advantage of carpet tile is that it can be rotated. Every room has a high traffic area and the carpet tiles on these places can be taken up and traded with some that are against the wall or under the furniture. This gives all the tile an even wear pattern and makes the carpet last twice as long while looking good.
