I always see people staging the homes they're selling whenever they flip a property. But how effective is this? And does it get costly? It seems as though furnishing an entire home would be very expensive and put a serious dent into your budget. And what happens to the furniture? Do you sell the home furnished or do you keep the furniture to use on your next project?
I think people rent the furniture used in staging, especially if the property is vacant. Agents tend to want every home to look like a show home to boost the price and make sales easier, but I don't think staging is always necessary.
I have seen shows where so much work has to be done before a sale, that it would make more sense to stay in the home and enjoy your upgrades!
I wonder how many agents have lost potential sales this way?
