Finding Residential Solar Units

Years ago, there were tons of small companies installing solar panels to homes, and instructions for building your own unit were easy to find. The units didn't heat the home, though. They heated water.
Since technology tends to improve with time, I hope to find solar panels that actually help with heating the home while warming water.
Are there contractors specializing in solar installations? It seems like it would be a great service to offer. I know I would be glad to save up and pay someone to assess the viability of solar for my home!

There are seperate units for Home Energy and Water Heating. On a cost to cost basis, Solar Water Heating is the most economical. Photovoltaic Systems cost more, but also reduce demands on our Environment.
If you are truly interested in either of these systems, I can arrange for an assessment with our company, or refer you to someone in your area that you may feel more comfortable with.
The main reason I got into Renewable Energy was not for the money, but to help insure my Grandchildren have a chance at a cleaner Environment in their future.

A little advise for anyone considering doing business with Kip Lambdin...DON'T !!
He is not an honest businessman, and has no integrity. He will however take your money. I have tried to talk with him since Dec 2009 when I was notified the garage he built for me would not pass code and had not had a framing inspection. he will not answer his phone or emails. I was stuck paying another contractor to fix his mess. Check around he has several people like me that he has taken advantage of..
