My husband and I paid Pat Spearman of Primo’s PSR to build a pool, it has been 6 months and he has worked a total of about 6 days, 5 of those days in the first two weeks and maybe 8 hours total in the last 5 months. Nothing but repeated excuses of why he cannot work on the pool. We paid him for services he did NOT provide, we paid him for materials he has not provided. His actions are criminal, he just flat out lied to us and stole our money, left our property in a mess and cost us additional money. This person belongs in jail, he should not be allowed to work in this country.
I hired Pat Spearman to build a pool at my house, we negotiated a price and he agreed to it, he started the process in the last 10 days of October with the assurance that he would be done before Christmas, he actually said thanksgiving but I didn’t believe he could do that so I really didn’t expect him to get done before Christmas, I had told him that I could wait until March to start, since I could not swim anyways, I wanted to wait because I did not want a big mud hole in my backyard all winter, pat assured me this would not happen, he said when he starts a job he stays on that job only until he finishes, he assured me repeatedly, so I let him start. Around November 10th or 11th he suddenly stopped work on the pool, he did not show up to the Job site for about 5 days so I called him, he said he had a flat tire on the tractor, he would be out this weekend to get started again, about 5 days later with no sight of him or any kind of communication I got hold of him again and he said he was starting back right after the thanksgiving Holiday, well that didn’t happen either, now the cold weather is coming in. I have this big mud hole in my yard. I can not get hold of Pat for about 3 weeks, I ask him what’s the problem with him contacting me once a week and just saying “hey doesn’t look good this week, I will call you in a few days or next week, he tells me that I can tell the weather is bad, he doesn’t need to contact me to tell me he is not working on the pool and I shouldn’t complain because I am getting this great pool for a great price. Currently I have a big mud hole. This process repeats itself all the way though to Feb, Oh and he got paid in advance for grounding the pool, inspection and backfill back in early November, which he has not done yet. Finally in late Feb, someone comes out and pours the shoes. How long did that take, again I keep calling he keeps telling me the weather is bad, even though there have been one week breaks in the weather repeatedly, with no one doing any work. Well now it is mid march another month and plenty of decent weather and no work on the pool, I still can’t get pat to answer emails or phone. Finally in the last week of March someone does the Backfill. But then 3 more weeks with no more work and no word from Pat. The guy who did the backfill shows up to my house complaining that he can’t get hold of Pat either and tells me he is going to his house, he asks me If I want him to finish the pool since we can’t get hold of Pat. I send Pat and email, telling him that I am terminating him if he does not contact me in the next 72 hours. 6 days later he sends me a text that he just got my email and is coming out the next day to frame out and ground the pool for inspection. I have at this point already terminated him. The man who said he was going to Pat’s house had already told me two days earlier that he talked to Pat and that pat had read me email, so I know he had the email several days earlier, more than likely the first day I sent it. Well when I got home the pool was not grounded and the frame out was not done to our agreement, the frameout probably took someone 2 hours max. I informed Pat of this, after some discussion he agreed to adjust it, no one came to work the next day, I texted Pat he said they would be there the next day, No one came again, I texted Pat again, no answer. The next day no one worked again. I texted Pat again he gave me the excuse that it had rained, it, in fact had not rained at my house in over a week and that was not a heavy rain, they weather has been pretty good for about six weeks now, there has been a few hours work total in that time. He then went into this long discussion on how I should be more understanding and patient, that he gave me a huge discount. Then he said
