Unfortunately there are some unethical contractors in our community that will take advantage of people. Howard and Howard Contracting walked away leaving us with unpaid materials and incomplete work. If you're currently working with Jay Howard; do not hand him any cash up front. Run a background check or google his real name first to see if he is dependable - Thalmadge Jimmon Howard. He's work is very elementary level and manage his people very poor. He promise the job to be completed in three weeks and it took from May-Aug. Very poor budgeting, he walked away after he noticed that we will not pay him more than our contract agreement. He continue to argue that we cost him to go over budget when he had full control of this project. Left us with incomplete bathrooms and unpaid materials that we personally paid because he was not able to purchased himself. Left trash in our garage during the whole time and never had the courtesy to clean up everyday.
