Kitchen Lighting Advice

I would like some advice on the type of kitchen lighting to use and the considerations to make while deciding on an option. What types of fixtures and bulbs to install? Basically, I want the fluorescent above-cabinet lighting to bring really substantial general lighting into the room, because we cannot install recessed cans.

We are going to place some LEDs under the cabinets as task lighting. They use less energy and last longer.

but sometime there are some darker styles that actually look good~ try imagine a kitchen with a darker orange light (not recommended too dark as you know what will happen at night)
