How have you decorated rooms with a low slanting ceiling due to dormer windows? I have two such rooms. One is large enough that it's not really a problem.
The other room is smaller, though, and I'm really at a loss when it comes to what to do with it. So far it's unused and turning into a sort of storage room, but I really want to make it usable.
I'll appreciate any and all ideas!
A friend of mine placed blinds that ran on tracks set into the casement so they stayed right along the window pane. Using swivel rods, she softened the look with some sheers that hung down to the floor.
She could pull the swivel rods out to move the blinds up and down, allowing sunlight to filter through. It was quite nice!
That sounds like a nice idea, Lydia... thank you. :-) I wish my two dormer rooms would be the same size but one is quite large and the other a lot smaller than I'd prefer... makes decorating a little more challenging.
