A good rule of thumb would be if your home is two story, definitely go with a 200A sized service.

If the home is a one story ranch, more than 1500 square feet with possibly a pool, or jacuzzi , finished basement, then a 150A sized service is best.

A 100A service is totally fine for a small ranch apartment, or condo.

Thanks!
