What is best suitable size of countertop for kitchen of size 100Sq and less?
What type of color we choose for best appearance?
Without looking at your layout, if your room is 10' X 10'... I would suggest going along a 10' wall with your cabinets with a 36" to 48" return. This gives you plenty of working space.
In my expierience I have always stayed with neutral earthtone colors which are warm and easy on the eyes. Somewhat of a beige or sand color which will go with any style and color of your cabinets.
If your kitchen is 10' x 10', this is a pretty standard kitchen for a small house or apartment. A standard countertop is always about 2' wide and in this configuration can wrap around in a U-shape on three sides.
I personally like granite countertops, if the person has the budget. If not, plastic laminate on plywood backing will last for years and can make a very nice countertop. If the glossy kind is installed in a granite pattern, it looks much like the real thing at a distance.
The best color is whatever the customer likes. I have seen beautiful countertops in black granite, which I would never pick for myself, and I have seen many exotic granites which are very beautiful. I like Giallo Fiorito myself a great deal. It is a common granite but I think it's very beautiful.
The most important thing in picking a granite color is the color coordination with the cabinets, the walls of the kitchen and the rest of the adjacent rooms. It is important to pick a color scheme that works. I like light and medium color countertops myself, but that is a personal choice. There is no reason that a black countertop would not look beautiful. I do think that black and really dark color countertops would show more dust, just like dark floors do.
Generally, what is the great determinant of the type and color of a granite countertop is the budget. The most exotic granites with the most interesting patterns can be expensive.
I think the best person to say what would be the best suitable size of countertop would be up to the custermer as to 100sq it may be they wish to have all countertop from wall to wall which would use up over 50% of the 100% sq.
See the pic I have had to cut a countertop because this custermer wish to have all most on countertop.
Ss for best color I would say any dark color would be good for best appearance, yet again it is allways up to the custermer.
The color of the countertop should compliment the cabinets, cabinet door hardware, appliances and fixtures such as your kithcen faucet.
If your designing with selling in mind neutral colors may be the best option as others have stated. If your designing to stay you may want to consider doing exactly what you like since you will be looking at it everyday.
My personal choice is Granite. Lots of natural, organic color variaions in the stone and there are many choices which can be more affordable than other products such as Silestone or Laminate.
Hello,
In response to your questions;
1) Kitchen countertops are manufactured @ 25" in width which means from the back of the cabinet against the wall out to the front of the cabinet with 1" overhang. As far as the length, you must manufacture the countertop to match the total length of the base cabinets to be covered. The type of material to be used is a personal preference; laminate formica inexpensive, ceramic tile more expensive, marble even more expensive, corian is about the same as marble, and granite being the most expensive.
2) The color should be chosen to match the cabinets and walls of the room.
Hope this is helpful information.

Hi and good morning,
2-walls 83" is good for counter top, you have a stove and Ref. on same walls and a sink. If you need more you a small side cabinet like 2- 24" to make a 48" 18" deep can be to save floor room.
