What all do you need to install the panels? Do you just use Liquid Nails for Bath?
Interlocking Plank panels are easy to install. Provided the wall surface is completely flat, you may glue/silicone the panels to the wall. (PL200 is recommended). If not you can either staple, nail or screw the boards on furring strips.
In rooms with a high humidity treated wood and stainless steel fixings should be used. Extra insulation can be installed between the strips.
I have had much success with Mastic. I trowel the bottom, center then top with a 3/8" notched trowel, or you can glue the entire wall were panels are getting installed, once you press firmly, the panels should stay on. allow about an hour for mastic to set and 12 hours to cure.
However you can use a PL 200 or silicone...any construction adhesive will work fine, but may be more costly.
Hope this helps.
Mastic works great but you can use different products. I always use top of the line products with really good warrantys also. Where ever you get your materials just ask some advise and they should help you.
I don't like silicone but in this case an adhesive silicon is.sufficient. Some also nail, staple and ect. But its quite cost efficient so get a good product I've used surebond pl200 I believe and ect.
Allow panels to reach room temperature for 3/4 hrs prior to installation. Surfaces must be free from dirt, waxes or any other residues. Apply adhesive thinly and evenly directly to the wall and spread using a spreader comb. Most construction adhesives can be used (liquid nails).
