I'm interested in the possiblity of remodeling our two car garage into a one car garage/apartment.

I need to know how cheap I can possibly do this... My daughter and granddaughter need a place to live... after which I will be able to use the area for guests...

The garage already has cement floor, electricity and water. It is one huge room with two bay garage doors.

Can you give me a guestimate of cost for a remodel such as this?

We just completed an attached two-car garage enclosure that will be used as an bedroom with an 5' x 2' closet. It was bricked on the two sides. It was done for $5,900.00. If you want more details please repay back to us.

It was done to the City of San Antonio [Texs] Building Codes and the National Electrical Codes. The owners brought the door lock set ($70.00) for one exterior door and one lock($12.00) for the interior door, ceiling/light fixture ($80.00), two smoke alarms ($36.00) , outdoor light fixture ($20.00), and were hiring a HVAC contractor to run a duct for the heating and cooling, which may run about $300.00.

Thanks... that's at least an idea...

I will be needing a whole lot more done than that... bedroom, bathroom, living area, small kitchen area... all the easiest, cheapest possible...

Hope it works... thanks again for the response...
