I live in Hammond, NY way upstate by Canada, so it gets cold. I have inherited a piece of property with a mobile home on it, as well as an old stick-built automotive shop. The shop does not currently have any running water leading to it, but we have a well on our property. I have the power disconnected right now, but can have it re-connected. The floors are cement, there is still an older style lift in the floor. the building is currently un-insulated, and honestly it needs a lot of repairs. I had a few contractors over to do work on my mobile home and they said it looks a lot worse than it really is and recommended fixing it up. The question just crossed my mind as to whether or not it could be fixed up and converted into a home with some work on the existing structure and a few additions? And if so would it be less costly than building or buying a house? I included a couple of photos that I had immediate access to, but in the daytime I could take better ones, and a few of the inside.
