basement column support replacement

I want to move my current basement column support. I know they are suppose to be a certain length apart, I was thinking to maybe install 2 with a support header between the two. any recommendations?

It depends on the load above, is it live or dead load. you can take your house plans to SPC and they will size up your LVL header and your suport columns, if you purchase the material from them.
