Bad Tile Job

I had a contractor do some renovations on a bathroom. He obviously didn't use spacers (cracks range from 1/8" to 1/2")and the grout doesn't fill the void--Would this be grounds to demand a refund either nicely or legally?

If not a refund, then he should do it over. Have you talked to him about it yet?

I think it would absolutely be grounds for either a refund or a redo. Whenever the work is done visibly poorly, you have a right to say something especially if the contractor told you he was going to do a certain job and then didn't do it as planned. Don't forget to take picture of the work just in case it comes down to that. Good luck!

Those are quite significant cracks. Absolute grounds for a redo or a refund. Those cracks will open up with the seasons and cause the tiles to dislodge not to mention they will be a breeding grounds for molds and insects.
