what kind of license do i need to do small home improvements?

I paint and clean: however my son does Sheetrock, painting,some repair roofing: small jobs that the home owner wants. I got insurance and a llc.. we also became osha certified. I would like to proceed with making my company larger while following all the rules however I do not know what they all are.

Not knowing in what city nor state that you live and work, my recommendation is to 'Google' the following words in your city and/or state: home improvement license and also try building permits in your city and/or state.
