We Take Pride In Our Painting

Joe completed work on our new apartment last month and I cannot speak highly enough of his work. My husband and I thought we could try to paint the place ourselves, but 5 hours in, with no real progress, other than terribly jagged lines, we did a search on Yelp and decided to go with Joe based on the glowing recommendations from other Yelpers.

Within a few minutes of my email inquiry, Joe responded with all the right questions and concerns. He was extremely professional, courteous and also super funny! Any professional service provided with a smile and a sense of humor is A+ by us!

Because of our work schedules, we were not able to meet Joe in person when he began the project, and only had the pleasure of meeting him upon completion of the job. Despite that hurdle, Joe communicated with me 3 to 4 times per day with a progress update. He handled this caveat with such coolness that a HUGE weight was lifted off our shoulders during what was a pretty stressful moving-in period. He was pretty much the easiest part of the process!

And then we saw the amazing job he did. Wow. I'm going to have to upload some pictures soon. Needless to say, my husband and I would not have come close to what he was able to produce. If you want a job done right, you must hire people who know how to do it and who are certified and insured, like Joe. And despite a massive mishap on the part of Home Depot - who gave us unmixed paint on our second purchase when we needed to buy a bit more - Joe did his best to ensure that the paint was mixed evenly and well on the walls. Joe is a true perfectionists so he is still trying to help me get a refund from Home Depot, but to our untrained eyes, all we notice is the great work he did on our new place so we can't imagine having a better job done! He truly transformed an apartment that had old white walls and drab yellow, seemingly hospital-certified doors and doorways, into a modern, cool pad.

Joe did a tremendous job on our apartment. After gathering price quotes from several painters, I chose Joe based mostly on the very competitive price he gave me for a description of the work I wanted AND the fact that he was insured and easily able to provide the COI that my building required. On the day that we closed, Joe met me at my new apartment. I hadn't seen the place in several months (since we signed the contract) and was honestly disappointed at first glance. Joe quickly put me at ease and told me to hold tight because he could work a miracle. He gave helpful suggestions on what he could do, and was great in assisting with color choices. In just a few short days, Joe really transformed our home and made everything look new and special. Honestly, the walls look brand new, the molding was touched up, he fixed some water damage and an uneven spot in the ceiling. Additionally, he helped out with some odds and ends, including assisting with some blinds/drapes, removal of a fan, and connecting a ceiling light. I was feeling really overwhelmed by all that needed to get done, and Joe was great at putting me at ease and making the project manageable. I couldn't have been more pleased with the quality of his work, his promptness, and professionalism and I look forward to recommending him to my friends and new neighbors! Definitely a 5 star paint job all the way!

My wife and I hired Joe and We Take Pride.. earlier this year to paint our entire new apartment before we moved in. Joe gave us a fair estimate, stuck to it (ie no surprises when the final bill came) & most importantly did a fantastic job. 3 months after the job was completed, we're still extremely happy with the job that was done and would highly recommend him without reservations. He's a true professional from the old school (meaning he does the work himself!).

My husband and I just purchased a two bedroom coop that was badly in need of a paint job. We wanted things like a dark trim and a red accent wall. The walls also needed some repair, so this was not a job we could do on our own. We had less than a week to get it done before our move in date, and we were having a horrible time trying to find someone that had both liability and lead paint insurance. I was so impressed by Joe's reviews on Yelp, we got in touch with him and he quoted us an incredible price. On the day he came to paint he noticed more damage than we had anticipated, so it ended up being slightly more expensive, but it was still an extremely fair price. Joe is extremely professional and an absolute perfectionist. He is also a really great guy and I had no problem putting my trust in him. He ended up finishing the day after we moved in and we could not be happier with the results. Every day I come home and am just blown away by how beautiful our apartment is, thanks to Joe.

I would not hesitate to use him again and have recommended him to all my friends. An absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish. You will not be sorry!!
