After working 12 years in the Architectural field, Allyn began his business in 1987 by building quality, starter-homes in Johnson County. Since then, he has completed more than 100 new homes as well as many room additions and remodel projects. Energy efficiency and low maintenance are key elements in his building philosophy. One of the challenges he prides himself on is, making a room addition look and feel like it was part of the original home. He has built new homes twice for some customers, up-sizing and down-sizing locally, which speaks highly of his work and personality. "I work with some customers who have a limited amount of experience in construction. They just need me to fill in the blanks and help oversee the project".

While not encouraging it, he does allow homeowners to do some of their own work. Allyn prides himself on creating a close, personal relationship with his customers and maintaining the highest standards of project management and workmanship. He personally supervises each project and coordinates his team of the most experienced carpenters and other tradesmen. His projects range from total kitchen remodels, room additions of all sizes, and basement finishes.

The custom homes he has built so far, range between $200,000 and $800,000. "I am just starting a 10,000 square foot, custom home which will be my first over a million dollars".
