Wish I had read reviews before hiring these guys so I feel it is my duty now to warn others. They came to me as a referral from a friend, who after referring them, also started to experience problems with them (they never finished her project either). I should have canceled them then but they seem like nice, decent guys (father-son team). I also should have read the contract in its entirety too as it is written to protect them from anything and everything. In short, I paid them for 90% of the job and they completed about 20% of the work. They told me it would take a few weeks to complete and after a few months, I was essentially begging to get out of the contract (per the contract, you are penalized for wanting out - you have to pay in full plus an extra 10% and forfeit all the supplies that were purchased using your money). They did not show up when they said they would and did not communicate that they would not be showing up. If they showed up, it was hours after the scheduled time. They are masters at using excuses - a long line at the smoothie shop delayed them by 2 hours once, lots of personal and family excuses and apparently they are overbooked so my project took a backseat even though I would already be paid them 90%. After our initial meeting, signing of the contract, and paying they told me that they cannot do half of the project and would not refund me. They are manipulative, too, when you try to explain your frustrations to them. I feel sad for the (adult) son who is involved in this mess - I am honestly not sure if he is fully aware of the situation as it seems like his Dad is the master scammer in the relationship. He should branch out and earn an honest living - there is enough demand.
They took $4000 +taxes +fees =$4500 from me 6 months ago towards these fees: Architect / Engineer $2,500 +/- Permits $3,474 +/- General Contractor Fee: $1,500.00 Now after 6 months of nothing to show and constant follow ups, they are increasing their contract which was in Service GC consultation and administration July. November 2021 2500.00 Service Architect & Engineering 3750.00 Service RCR Contracting fee 2500.00 And also claiming Engineering work done is RCR owned and I have to pay additional to even see it. Do not trust these guys. You will regret your decision.
Beware of these guys! SCAMMERS! I'm going to keep this as short and simple as possible. I reached out to them in August of 2021 to get a quote for a covered patio build. So I Got the Quote and agreed to pay. I paid my deposit portion. Then come to find out they did the measurements wrong for the job. So they had to re do the entire contract bid and it over doubled in price! That new contract was made on December 2nd Ok so I agreed to pay and I did. I actually paid off the whole thing by December 31st 2021. Never do this if you hire contractor do not pay the full thing off until it's done! I learned the hard way. Throughout this whole time from August 2021 to January 12th 2022. Which was the last day they worked on my project. It's going on 4 months now since they have been on my job and where are they? How much patience do you expect a customer is supposed to have? This is unfair and no one would be ok with this. They built maybe 40 percent of what was agreed. They pretty much left me with a pergola. Unfinished. I understand life happens right and I can understand that but Ive never met anyone that puts personal life over business time after time. There were countless amount of times that life happened to them that delayed them from showing up supposedly. I'm not picking on them personally but from a business perspective you gotta show up and make your customers happy it doesn't matter what business you're in. This company does NOT care about their customers. They just want money and will take it and do some work to show that they are there to work then will leave you hanging. They barely answer their phones and do not care about showing up to work. I got scammed out of over $19,000+ and I'm sure I'll never see any bit of it again. Do yourself a favor and do not give these guys a call!! You guys have had months to make it right or to show that something is going to get done but there were no true actions except for words saying they have every intention to finish that's all I ever got but no action literally none. I don't want to know what would have happened if I kept waiting, would have they shown up to finish? I doubt it and I don't deserve to have to wait any longer. The sad thing is I went through a huge financial hardship by paying this job off as quick as I did let's just say I gave them practically all the money I had to my name and I'm not going in to more detail and not only that my relationship with my dad went down hill because of this job because this project is for his house. He had questions that I didn't have answers to which made things tough. I endured a lot of mental stress also by them not answering in a timely manner and just leaving me hanging! Do I recommend them? No! I got scammed and I'm done with them. I hope no one has to go through what I did. I hope you guys read this and know that you've really hurt me as a "customer".
