JTC Paving & Masonry

My driveway is falling apart. Cracks everywhere. Torched areas. Asphalt looked great the first month, in deteriorating condition now. Tried calling/texting and no answer. Very nice guys at the beginning. Word of advice for anyone coming across JTC Paving and Masonry, take your business elsewhere or don't pay them until the job is fully done. P.S. Make sure they clean the job site before finalizing contract, these guys are messy.

This basement foundation repair company was a lifesaver to us! We had been dealing with a wet and leaky basement for years, and no matter what we tried, we couldn't seem to fix the issue. We ran across JTC Paving & Masonry and paul was able to come out to our home in Paramus, New Jersey, and diagnose and fix the problem in just three days. They were professional, efficient, and very reasonably priced. Our basement has been completely dry ever since....very much happy with the outcome... If you are having any issues with your foundation in New Jersey, I would highly recommend giving them a call, Also Considering Having them re-do our backyard paver patio & front walkway.

Horrible job, poor material not commercial grade. Stay away from this company. Paid in full and now don’t honor warranty of ten years! This was one day after completed!

James of JTC was the person I dealt with. He was to install a concrete driveway and cut into the curb on the street in order to open the street to the new driveway. The driveway is ok - no complaints there. The problem was the finishing on both sides of the curb cut. Most, if not all, openings on either side of the street are cut diagonally so your tires don't damage as you're pulling in. Mine were cut straight down. When I notified him, he offered to return and fix it. A few weeks pass and finally one of his workers return (I am at work) and rather than cut at a diagonal, he cut further into it straight leaving a gap between the driveway and the curb. I called James as soon as I returned home and he proceeds to tell me that his worker cut further because he did not have the proper tool. It looks worse than it did initially, and not to mention they did not have my authorization. James offered to come back and fix it yet again. Another month passes. James promises to get to it and never does. There were several days he says he'd show. Doesn't call to let me know he can't make it when he's set a date to return. The last excuse was that he had Covid. It's been over a week since he claims to have contracted Covid and he doesn't respond to my text messages. Initially, when I had expressed my concern on the lack of communication and the poor finishing job his worker left me with (I called it a "piss poor" finishing job), he was clearly offended and says that he's already completed the job he was contracted to do and was doing me a favor by coming back. His very last message, after I had sent him a picture of separation, admits "it doesn't look good" and "accepts responsibility for his guy" BUT still hasn't fixed it. This job was done on 11/19.
