BE AWARE This is not a real company. I called them up to fix my commercial deli refrigerator that was not blowing out cold air. he came late. was supposed to get a free estimate but ok he worked on the compressor change a part added freon for refrigeration and asked for $400 for the work. we wanted cash. so i gave him $300 cash and 100 check. i saw that the the refrigerator was working. the next morning the deli case was just like it was before he came, just blowing warm air. so i called him multiple times and could not get through to him or anyone else.i tried again the next day after that and finally got through. he said that no one was in the day before. and that for sure he will have someone come in that day to fix the problem . of coarse no one showed up and now again he will not answer the phone. so after thinking about what has happened i realized that the freon that he put in the system only lasted for one day . that's why it was cold after he did the work. it was just a temporary fix for him to get the $400 from me . the fact that he would not take a check from a business that has been around for over 11years was a sign that the job was not properly done.BEWARE of this PERSON/COMPANY . Now i will have to deal with them with my lawyers and have to let other people know to BEWARE
The following is a copy of the email I have sent to the owner...
We spoke on the phone several times Sunday July 7th, regarding the poor/incomplete service I received from one of your employees, Mr. Sanchez.
The following is my account of what transpired:
1. Mr. Sanchez arrived on time at 1 pm. He had no tools or parts to do any repair job.
2. He informed me that the fee for fixing both the bev air fridge and the ice o matic machine was $500.00. He asked for a $200.00 deposit.
3. He informed me that he could not fix the machines until Monday. I told him that I could not make it (my brother is sick and I had to take him to the hospital) and I asked if he could come back later Sunday. I was planning to open for business that evening and needed a working fridge and ice machine.
4. Mr. Sanchez placed several calls and then stated that he would be back at 5:30 to fix the machines. I agreed to wait for him.
5. At 5:30, Mr. Sanchez did not show up and I called to find out his ETA. He told me he was delayed and the new ETA to be 7:00 pm.
6. At 7 pm, he did not show up. I called. He said he was still running late, but that it should only be another half hour.
7. At 8 pm, he did not show up, and told me he was a few blocks away.
8. At 9:00 pm, he still had not shown up. I phoned you to find out what was going on. You told me you would get in touch with him. I voiced my displeasure over the tardiness, lack of communication and professionalism.
9. At 10:00 pm, he still had not arrived. He no longer answered his phone.
10. I stepped out. At 10:36, Mr. Sanchez arrived during full service and fixed the Bev Air. He had no response for his tardiness or inability to call me on the phone.
11. At 11:15 I asked him to fix the Ice-O-Matic. He removed the front cover, borrowed my broom, took it outside and dusted the cover off. That is the extent of what he did to repair the ice machine.
12. He asked for the balance due.
At this point, Mr. Sanchez had not fixed the ice machine. I told him I would not pay the full fee for half a job. He said he would reduce the fee $25. I spoke to you on the phone and you said you would reduce the fee by $50. Both you and he offered a maintenance contract free of charge for five months as well.
My contention was that despite the lack of professionalism, he had not completed the work. At midnight he became agitated and demanded payment. I got off the phone with you and told him I was calling the police, that I would not pay for a job half done. He became belligerent and I asked him to leave. You told me to pay him $200. as a resolution. I paid him the $200.00.
I cannot begin to list my dissatisfaction with the treatment I received from Mr. Sanchez. I voiced my opinion on the phone with you. Ultimately, Mr. Sanchez is your employee, and he treated me unfairly. He had no regard for my time, did not apologize, and became aggressive with me at my place of business. I was forced to pay him for a job half done for fear that he would hurt me or my business. He said that if I didn't pay him that I would regret it, and also said, "You will see what happens to you if you don't pay me." as a threat. I wanted to call the police, but knew that having spent the entire evening and day waiting for repair, that I could not spend any more time with a person who obviously lacks intelligence and decency.
Like I said, the following morning, I had to take my brother to the hospital and that was my priority.
At this point my ice machine is still not working, and I am discussing options with my attorney as my next course of action towards your company.
