Guy was amazing! He not only helped us to imagine the design of the dormer but made a wonderful space. He communicated well and always finished what he promised. Very capable, experienced and easy to work with. We couldn’t be happier and will be hiring him for our next project!

We have hired Daybreak for projects ranging from replacement of all windows in our home, to bathroom and kitchen remodeling, to design and fabrication of a new deck, to finishing a basement. They were always honest, timely (+/- 15 minutes), cleaned up work sites, did good quality work, and stood behind their work. We recommend Daybreak wholeheartedly.

Total professional all the way through. Guy and team did the work up to our high standards, on time, on budget and was able to accommodate the several 'add ons' we had during the job with no problem. He guided me on my parts of the project when needed, and was never bothered by my questions. These guys have done work on my homes over more than 20 years and we keep going back to him - total trust in them top to bottom. In this world where you're not always sure of the quality of work and people - Guy is the exact opposite of what you worry about. Nothing but praise for him and crew.

One can not begin to explain the unethical behavior of this company. ironically, I believe they are named after a local church.
Remodeled bathroom. Failed to supervise and evaluate employees' work.
Installed subfloor incorrectly, violated International Building Code 2304.9 – fastening subfloor to framing. Caught on old subfloor and new subfloor was floating 5/8" above joists. Attempted to correct but didn't solve the deflection and noise problems. Floor sank when tub was filled with water
Incorrectly installed bathtub. Ignored manufacturer's instructions
Hired unlicensed plumber who did not disclose all proposed work to City Plumbing Inspector
Ignored previous plumbing violations and structural damage, said it was ok.
Replaced stair treads and risers, poorly done with gaps allowing flexure of stair treads.
Remodeled bathroom was removed by Daybreak Building Services and money was not returned.
Complaint was filed with the State's Attorney Generals Office.
What occurred at my home resulted in myself testifying before Vermont's Senate Committee on Governmental Operations. The Senate Committee approved a sunrise review of Contractor regulation and hopefully the State Legislature will pass Contractor regulation this legislative session. Thank you Guy Marchessault and Daybreak Building Services for helping to bring Contractor regulation to Vermont.
