DANGER! Carlos and his so called team are a construction hazard. They know nothing about construction. Nothing they touch passes code. They do absolutely horrible work. With over 15 years experience as a general contractor, Carlos was the only sub I have had to completely fire from a job. I tried to "babysit" his guys through completion, but I couldn't make it work.

They dug the hole for an 18x18 addition, and destroyed the customers yard. We discussed a plan for stockpiling usable soil, and removing excess daily. Instead Carlos' son threw rocks and debris everywhere. Customers fence was destroyed, landscaping ruined, plantings destroyed. Carlos never removed any material, just left a huge pile of crap (which is a good description of Carlos).

Then they built a foundation. Even after snapping the lines myself for them, they still fucked it up. Foundation was built out of square, and grew by 8 inches.

Carlos did not fill the block below grade as required. Instead he has his guys fill the voids with garbage, then put a small amount of mortar on top to look like it is filled.

He placed a bearing beam ontop of unsupported block.

Then the framing, my 5 year old daughter could have done a better job. They had no idea how to do even the most basic tasks. Carlos himself did not even know how to check if the frame was square, level or plumb. It was none.

Had I let them continue I would probably be in jail when their crappy attemp at construction collapsed and killed someone.

I would honestly recommend just burning your money before you hand it over to these incompetent guys. They also let their insurance lapse in the middle of the project. Carlos will make false promises, and represents himself as being able to do anything construction related. My experience was so bad, I wouldn't allow them onsite to sweep up.
