I can NOT recommend Kevin McGhee from LaGrange Ga area for ANY construction needs for people. This man claimed to be qualified to build structures with full living quarters in them, however after about 15% of the work he done was shoddy and the retaining wall cracked in several places we contacted the Alabama Home Licensure Board and we verified Kevin McGhee was NOT a licensed home builder with the state of Alabama, not had he ever been licensed with the state to build homes/ structures with full living quarters. The state shut us fmdown and we could not continue working with Kevin. When we asked for a refund of our unused money $75k-85k he said he didn’t have it and that all $105,000.00 was in the dirt and wall on my property. We asked for receipts, invoices, and documentation showing proof of purchase of materials for our property and was declined by Kevin. Later on we found out trusses he had ordered from Roberts Components totaling approximately $13,000.00 were NEVER paid for even though we gave him the money to cover those he chose to steal the money and not pay for them. As of today we have found others who have been scammed by Kevin McGhee. Please stay far away from this man!!! He is a scam artist!
