Chad and his company took us for $45k and what little they did complete had to all be redone. It's a shame Texas allows people like this to continue on without consequence.

Chad Billings gave fraudulent information costing my family multiple thousands of dollars. He left the job halfway complete and then claimed he was closing his doors due to the economy. However, he was over 90% paid for completion. Our job took over 9 months to finish and we had to scramble (and trust) another contractor to finish out the work. Not only that-we had "sub-contractors" (ie guys Chad had hired off the street corner from day laborers) come knocking on our door demanding payment or a lien. Note to ALL involved, Chad doesn't get contracts from his subs, therefore they legally cannot get paid (Chad knows this because his Daddy is the attorney that more than likely has taught him this very ethical business practice). He will give you a great dog and pony show-but in the end you will be left wondering how the guy sleeps at night (other than very well, because he is using your money to pay himself). Chad has no morals, conscience, nor truth to give. Workmanship was poor and failed multiple inspections (the subs would intentionally fail until Chad paid them money). Cleanliness was a joke, and our yard was ruined and looked like a bad episode of Hoarders for months. Check online under C.R. Billings Construction if you need further references-they will give you the same. DO YOUR HOMEWORK-go to the city offices and check his inspection history. ASK for references and photos. Call his references and also verify they are legitimate (meaning the names match the homes from the inspection history-I wouldn't put it past him to use his own family as fake references because everything he says is a lie). He also thrives upon preying on older couples who are not as savvy and much more trusting with his "Yes Sir" routine.
