They were supposed to level the ground but instead used a slab on top of some rocks. They were supposed to clean it but that was done poorly, they were supposed to come back and apply sealant but refuse to do so until they are paid in full. They left a bunch of shims sticking out all around the fountain and broke a sprinkler (not a big deal but denied it. I fixed it myself). I am being charged for a pump but they have failed to supply me with warranty information for the pump, which makes me wonder if they are trying to pass off a used pump.
Fountain Restoration, Transport and Reinstall to new location. This restoration turned out beautiful! This fountain was not functional, burnt out motor, clogged, rotted and cracked poly pipe plumbing in the stem/middle of fountain, full of mold, mildew and 1/2" to 1" of black soot in all the fountain bowls, base and cordial when we arrived.
The fountain was restored according to the signed contracted price, agreed upon ahead of time, before work started. The contract informed client that restoration might not be possible old fountains such as this one often leak and can't be restored to functioning. She wanted to proceed even if she had to fill it with flowers or rocks afterwards. (Fortunately we were able to restore to fully functioning.)
I have live video from beginning to end of myself and my crew taking great care in transporting to new location, leveling the ground, and receiving approval for the base which was needed to place the fountain in the location requested. The new location (which the client changed 3 times) which was on a slop with soft soil and would not have held the fountain which weighs in excess of 700 pounds without a base. The client was very happy with the progress and the job until final payment was requested. She was a no show on the day of our appointment to do walk through and receive final payment. After reaching out for payment several times, she then told me about a broken sprinkler head, shims and she decided the price was too high. I assured her we did not break a sprinkler head and I showed her video that there was no such evidence of us touching a sprinkler head, or exposed shims. I also explained that if we did that I would be happy to come back and look at it and fix it if necessary, as I fix sprinkler heads on the regular. She refused to schedule an appointment for me to return. The fountain was cleaned to her satisfaction before restoring pipes, installing a new motor and hooking up the plumbing again. Adding sealant was discussed as a courtesy as fountain is very old and subject to cracking. I declined to do free sealant after Donna was a no show on final walk through and held payment for two weeks. After referring her to the video several times, she finally sent final payment.
The restoration was beautiful, and I often use pics of it to show to other fountain clients.
